Career Information

There are many different professions in the environmental sector ranging from hands on work out in the great outdoors to lab work and office jobs. For some environmental careers it may be necessary to go to university to complete further study. Some common environmental degrees include:
  • Natural Resource Management
  • Environmental Management
  • Environmental Science
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Marine Biology
  • Agriculture
  • Forestry

Apprenticeships/Traineeships

For some environmental careers you may need to undertake a traineeship or apprenticeship:

  • Green Corps - An Australian Government youth development and environmental training program for young people aged between 17 and 20 years
